Katherine Johnson Scholarship

Established to honor NASA pioneer Katherine Johnson, the first Black women to attend 51ÂÒÂ×»»ÆÞ graduate school, this scholarship benefits African American students studying math or science in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences.

The Scott D. Widmeyer First-Generation/African American Scholarships

The scholarship program benefits African American and first-generation West Virginian college students who are seeking degrees in journalism. The scholarships focus on students in 51ÂÒÂ×»»ÆÞ’s Reed College of Media. To date, 40 students have been awarded scholarships. Scott Widmeyer is a recipient of the Distinguished West Virginian Award for his ongoing commitment to 51ÂÒÂ×»»ÆÞ.
