Are new students required to live in residence halls?

51ÂÒÂ×»»ÆÞ has a . All single, first-year students and transfer students with fewer than 24 transferable credits taken after high school graduation are required to live in residence halls for their first year at 51ÂÒÂ×»»ÆÞ.

Students may register for an exemption if living with their parents/guardians in the following contiguous counties:

  • West Virginia: Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Taylor and Wetzel
  • Pennsylvania: Fayette and Greene

Commuters must reside at the permanent address on file and reside with their parent(s) or legal guardian(s).
